Summer weather has again brought disaster and struggle to the people of Myanmar. Heavy monsoon rains plus Cyclone Komen has caused the Irrawaddy and Chindwin Rivers to flood, with much of the central and western areas of the country now dealing with rooftop water levels. Relief is coming to those affected, with Fedwell Foods also doing its part.
We have delivered 50,000 meals so far, of the one million meals we have pledged to those affected. Selwyn Aung Phyu has been the face of Fedwell Foods in the media coverage, even having the chance to explain our motto of “when I was hungry you fed me” to officials involved.
We have partnered in the distribution of the Alpha Nutri Soup with the Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation. The MWCDF is dedicated to seeing that our nutritious soup reaches those most in need.
Meeting the needs of this disaster involves a monumental effort, and Fedwell Food’s generous help is crucial.
